Based in Blenheim and operating since 2000, we have grown alongside the wine industry and continue to support our clients with skilled, efficient labour solutions. As one of the first company to recruit under the Recognised Seasonal Employer (RSE) scheme, we combine a strong ‘New Zealand First’ employment policy with a trusted pool of international workers, predominately from the Pacific with some Thai, to meet seasonal demands. I have been working with Vinepower and their teams for approximately 10 years now. The benefit I have is that Vinepower know how I want tasks completed in the vineyards. They know my pruning philosophies and execute them very successfully for me. They have a team of supervisors that lead their individual teams very well. I don’t feel that I must stand over them all the time.

Vinepower also have a large team of workers that can get the tasks completed at a very timely manner and to the specs that I request. With the large numbers of workers, they are on time and can accommodate requests or changes to tasks without much bother. For me to have a labour contractor company that I can rely on, particularly in the pressure times, makes running a vineyard easier with less stress, meaning the vineyard gets maintained on time and to a high standard.
